The prizes of the 17th Zurich Film Festival were presented this evening during the Award Night at Zurich Opera House. The 17th Zurich Film Festival honours the film music composer Mychael Danna. The Canadian accepted the ZFF’s Career Achievement Award on Thursday evening at the Tonhalle Zurich. The Italian director and screenwriter Paolo Sorrentino was honoured with the 17th Zurich Film Festival’s highest accolade for an auteur filmmaker, the A Tribute To... Award. The Oscar-winner accepted the Golden Eye in person on Wednesday evening and thanked the Festival for the honour. Following this, his latest work È STATA LA MANO DI DIO celebrated its Premiere in the German-speaking realm.   

The Science Film Award was presented today for the third time and will be awarded to Theo Anthony for his documentary film ALL LIGHT, EVERYWHERE.
