The son of a judge couple causes a fatal car accident while drunk. In the absence of her husband, a new mother is haunted by visions of a black bird. Over the floors, the fates of the residents intertwine with far-reaching consequences. In his latest work, cult Italian director Nanni Moretti adapts a novel by Israeli author Eshkol Nevo, relocating the action to the Italian capital. With its remarkably diverse soundtrack and plethora of unexpected twists, this Italian melodrama tells the story of three families trapped between guilt, forgiveness and new beginnings.
