Since the death of her husband, interpreter and single mother Sandra leads her life on autopilot. She has to function – for her young daughter, but more importantly for her father, Georg, who suffers from advanced dementia. The whole family joins forces to find a place for him in a care home, a task that equates to running the gauntlet through the French healthcare system. Unexpectedly, Sandra bumps into Clément, her husband's former colleague. After an initial flirtation, the two embark on an affair. But how long can their "amour fou" last?
