Kate gives everything for her career and her family. The dedicated primary school teacher educates with gusto and loves her husband, Charlie, more than anything. The attractive young woman doesn’t even stop for breath during her time off: she parties with Charlie more often than is good for her, and drinks too much. She feels the consequences of these wild nights, however, with increasing vividness. When she begins to wake up in strange places and is no longer able to enter the school building without a drink, Kate realises that she needs help. At an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, she encounters Jenny, a woman blessed with a fantastic sense of humour whose new hobby keeps her addiction in check – baking cakes.
