The rules of the annual “Hands On” contest organized by a local car dealer in a small Texan town are simple: 20 participants line up around a brand new pick-up truck, place one hand on the car and are not allowed to take it away. Whoever holds out the longest is allowed to drive home with the car. Short breaks are rare and sleeping is not allowed. One of the increasingly exhausted participants is the young, penniless family man Kyle, who seizes the chance to prove he is not a loser. While the high-spirited spectators watch on, the tone among the players becomes increasingly rough until it turns into bitter seriousness. Each individual is faced with the question of how far they are willing to go to emerge as the winner.
