Cherie is 40, Jimmy 36. The two have lived together for the past seven years in an on-off relationship and are sure of just one thing: they are never sure of anything. While he doesn't take their relationship serious enough, she drowns in a sea of contradictory demands. When Cherie’s father turns up with a much younger lover and Jimmy’s old acquaintance Flora turns out to be a permissive Canadian on top of that, the situation threatens to spiral out of control. Caught between gloom and joie de vivre in the deepest canyons of Hong Kong’s skyscraper landscape, the pair try to beat a mutual path to a still uncertain future. Director Ho-cheung Pang once again demonstrates his immortal humour and adds new life to the romantic comedy genre by coupling shameless dialogue with unique, colourful imagery.
