Kamala sets out on an adventurous journey to find her husband, who has disappeared without trace. Together with her young daughter, Manya, and a goat, she travels from her mountain village on the border of Tibet to Delhi, where her husband was last known to be working on a construction site. During the long journey, Kamala comes across the mysterious army deserter Nawazuddin, who then accompanies the two females. But their new chaperone has ulterior motives. In this atmospheric road movie, director Geethu Mohandas tells equally of the dangers of travelling and the attitudes towards life of India’s lower class.
