Rachel is 40 years old, has no children and is happy with her life. When she meets single father Ali, a passionate relationship develops. Ali has his four-year-old daughter Leila with him. The bright girl sweeps through Rachel's emotional world like a whirlwind. On the one hand, the teacher suddenly has to deal with the question of whether her choice not to have children was the right one. On the other hand, there is this unconditional love that she develops for Leila. Rachel soon realises that her new situation harbours emotional risks she never knew existed. Director Rebecca Zlotowski has made an extraordinarily emotional film full of wonderfully staged moments of truth.
