1957, one April night: 19-year-old Albertine scales the prison walls and breaks her ankle while dropping over the other side. Petty crook Julien picks up the escapee, spring awakens and an amour fou begins between the two anarchists. While Albertine is out selling her body on the streets of Montmartre, Julien is picked up by the police and put behind bars, which leaves Albertine in an ever-increasing state of despair. Brigitte Sy’s second feature harks back to the cinema of the 1960s.
