In Bogotá’s old town three old friends meet on a daily basis – be that at the chess club, the café or the casino. Joacquin is a watchmaker, but his neat little business has long since become archaic; Marcos, a Spanish homeopath, continues his endless quest for the perfect winning formula for playing poker; and the ex-teacher and chess master Samuel is in the process of teaching the game to his last student. The three of them are determined to succeed where they have to date failed: at taking a risk at an important moment. In her charming drama of daily life, director Natalia Santa playfully and subtly understates three quarrelsome men as they learn to no longer stand in their own way.
