Atafeh was brought up in a wealthy, liberal Tehran family, which placed the highest importance on culture and intellectual curiosity. Thumbing their noses at the guardians of public morality, the self-confident young woman and her new friend Shireen explore Tehran’s lively nocturnal underground scene. A secret love affair develops between the two women. In the meantime, Atafeh’s brother has been released from rehab and is determined to give up his excessive lifestyle, along with his life-long love of classical music. Searching for a new purpose in life, he discovers religion – and the beautiful Shireen. He begins to stalk the two women, and decides he must save Shireen from the ‘bad’ influence of his sister.
