Florida, November 23, 2012. Two cars pull into a gas station. An argument about loud rap music breaks out. A gun is drawn. 3 ½ minutes and ten bullets later, 17-year-old African American Jordan Davis is dead. The next day white perpetrator Michael Dunn is arrested and charged with murder. Dunn stated in court that he acted in self-defense after feeling threatened when he claimed to see Davis with a gun, a gun that was nowhere to be found during a later search of the vehicle by police. British filmmaker Marc Silver reconstructs the sequence of events using CCTV footage, police interviews and statements from those involved, and installs his equipment in the courtroom to closely follow proceedings.
