Zurich Film Festival: Leadership Expansion

The Zurich Film Festival (ZFF) is pleased to announce an organizational change: Festival Director Christian Jungen has appointed Reta Guetg as Vice Director of Zurich Film Festival AG. Alessandro Monsurrò will take over as Managing Director of the Spoundation Motion Picture AG, and Marco Misuraca will assume the newly created role of Operations Director. This leadership expansion aims to ensure the continued success of the festival. Roger Crotti will refocus on his original role as Chairman of the Board.

Starting January 1, 2025, ZFF will be led by a strong management team. Festival Director Christian Jungen, who has been with ZFF since 2019, retains overall responsibility for the festival, including programming, public relations, and acquiring new partners. He will now be supported by a three-member executive team:

Reta Guetg, a long-time Co-Head of Programming and Head of Industry at ZFF, has been appointed Vice Director. In this role, she will represent the Festival Director in all artistic matters, including programming, industry, guests, and public relations. Guetg holds an academic background in film studies and media, is a co-founder of the international short film festival "shnit," and has extensive experience serving on the boards of various film and cinema industry associations. Over the past 10 years, she has played a key role in shaping ZFF.

Alessandro Monsurrò will take on the role of Managing Director of Spoundation Motion Picture AG, ZFF's marketing agency. In addition to his current responsibilities as Head of Marketing & Media, he will now lead the Partnerships and Hospitality teams. Monsurrò joined ZFF in 2023, bringing over 20 years of marketing and branding experience from leadership positions in the international financial sector and is a passionate film enthusiast.

Marco Misuraca has been named Operations Director of Spoundation Motion Picture AG. He will oversee the continuous optimization of operations, including controlling, digital and data processes, as well as all event-related matters. Misuraca joined ZFF in 2022 and is well-acquainted with the festival through his previous roles as Head of Events and Business Manager. Before joining ZFF, he gained extensive experience in the events industry.

Roger Crotti, the ad interim Managing Director of Spoundation Motion Picture AG, will return to his official role as Chairman of the Board. In this capacity, he will continue shaping the strategic development of the festival.

With these changes, the Zurich Film Festival is well-positioned to continue its success story and set new milestones during its 21st edition, which will take place from September 25 to October 5, 2025.
