A scandal is brewing in the idyllic seaside town of Littlehampton. Several local residents receive threatening letters. One of the recipients is the pious and highly respected Edith Swann. While the police are reluctant to investigative, Edith suspects that her neighbour Rose is behind the threats. Rose is the polar opposite of Edith: Loud, wild and unapologetic. Her arbitrary arrest, however, causes outrage in the community, and a group of women become determined to get to the bottom of the mystery. Academy Award-winner Olivia Colman and Jessie Buckley shine in this sharp-witted crime comedy with the finest British humour.
