Sixty Six

American superheroes, Californian blondes and lost lovers: Californian artist and collage-filmmaker Lewis Klahr poetically fuses the contents of comics, pop art, music and other ephemera from the 1960s into a mosaic of Greek mythological magic. The fascinating result of year-long decoupage is an inspirational and dreamlike journey into the subconscious of pop culture. SIXTY SIX, an anthology film in 12 chapters, is part of the open series Prolix Satori in which Klahr explores the interaction between visual and acoustic impressions. Opening on 30.09.2016, Lewis Klahr will exhibit at the Zurich-based galleries Anthony Reynolds and Grieder Contemporary parallel to the Zurich Film Festival.
