Seize printemps
by Suzanne Lindon
16-year-old Suzanne lives with her family in the middle of a historical neighbourhood in Paris. She is bored of school, parties and stale conversations with her friends. On her way to school every day, she passes a theatre, where she increasingly tries to catch the eye of one of its actors. Although the man is obviously older than her, Suzanne feels immediately drawn to him. If he is not there, his portrait is at least emblazoned on the entrance posters. When one day he not only looks back at her, but also speaks to her, a daring – and completely innocent – dance of love through Paris begins. The brilliant acting and directing debut of 20-year-old Suzanne Lindon is a bittersweet coming-of-age drama about the danger of missing out on life.
