Four women on their way across Colombia: following the accidental death of her single father, Angela is suddenly left aimless and alone. It seems to be just the right time for her three older half-sisters, whom she had never met, to appear. In order to find a new home for the youngest, the four young women embark on a trip to the other end of the country, where an aunt lives. And so begins a journey that confronts Angela and her sisters not only with a haunting past, but also with their own femininity as well as the harsh realities of present Colombia. Director Rubén Mendoza, one of the pioneers of the new generation of Colombian filmmakers, has conjured up a heart-warming road movie featuring an aesthetic of subtle visual magic.
