Memoir of a Snail

Grace’s life is marked by loss: After the death of her mother, Grace and her twin brother Gilbert are raised by their alcoholic father Percy. When the two are sent to different foster families, she retreats more and more into her shell – just like her beloved snails, which she has cherished since childhood. Over the years, as she befriends the eccentric Pinky, Grace finds new hope despite all her disappointments.
