A wintery landscape on Lac Léman. Since the early death of their parents, the unpredictable forty-something Marc and his eccentric sister Marianne live together in a beautiful isolated chalet on the border of France and Switzerland. Mark lectures as a professor of literature at the nearby university – the perfect hunting ground for the terminally single man who has the female students lined up ready to skip and jump from one affair to the next. The end of winter is approaching when Barbara, one of his preferred students, disappears one night without a trace. Soon the increasingly bewildered Casanova must contend with Barbara’s stepmother Anna, the university’s dean and the police – all while losing control of his life.
