by Alice Rohrwacher
A gang of young men loots Etruscan tombs in Tuscany and sells the valuable art treasures via a mysterious receiver. The sleuth of the "Tombaroli", as the grave robbers call themselves, is the Englishman Arthur, who has the apparently supernatural gift of being able to root out Etruscan tombs hidden underground. Yet his life actually revolves around a quite different quest: Arthur wants nothing more than to meet his deceased girlfriend Beniamina again. Five years after LAZZARO FELICE, the highly talented Italian director Alice Rohrwacher once again graces the ZFF with an imaginative, fabulously staged comedy. Her cinematic fireworks display starring Josh O'Connor from THE CROWN creates a magical atmosphere and celebrates Italianità at its finest.
