Brazil’s current short film output is as original as it is thematically diverse. The five films in this block are linked by their proximity to humans and the need to tell very personal stories. Women are becoming increasingly noticeable: Not only are two of the films in this block by female hands, but strong and independent female protagonists are also portrayed in the films’ stories.
