Zimbabwe has been presided over by Robert Mugabe for more than three-and-a-half decades. Now 91, the president changed over the years from a one-time source of hope to an eccentric dictator. Following one of Africa’s most bloody elections in 2008, Mugabe’s party was forced under international pressure to form a coalition with the progressive opposition party. A representative from each party was given the difficult task of working with the other to create a new democratic constitution. Filmmaker Camilla Nielsson accompanied these two representatives over the course of three years, following their every move. The result is a unique insight into the hair-raising political antics that are to decide the future of this country.
