by Luca Guadagnino
All the young outsider Maren really wants is to be loved. Standing in her way, however, is the abysmal craving for human flesh that she has had since an early age. When her mother abandons her the day after her sixteenth birthday, Maren sets out to find her father. She finally wants to understand the origin of her dark secret. She is joined on her road trip across the USA by a tramp named Lee. He not only gives her a sense of security, but also shares her bloody predilection. Five years after CALL ME BY YOUR NAME, director Luca Guadagnino returns to ZFF with an eerily beautiful love story about two young cannibals. Alongside Oscar winner Mark Rylance, the two shooting stars Timothée Chalamet and Taylor Russell put in outstanding performances.
