Ever since his mother died, ten year old Michi has lived in a children’s home. He can hardly believe his luck when one day he accidentally discovers the address of his previously unknown father! Full of joyful anticipation, Michi goes on a quest for what he believes to be a strong and potent man who will protect him and give him the home he desires. To his surprise, however, his anticipation is somewhat crushed by the fact that his father, Tom, is a vertically challenged person! Michi is too ashamed to get to know his recently discovered parent, but it’s already too late. And chaos ensues as the other kids at the home find out. AUF AUGENHÖHE is an unusual father-son story full of humour and drama – and a passionate appeal for accepting those who are different.
