With her delicate physique, iconic German accent and her unusually direct way of discussing sex, Dr. Ruth Westheimer became an American media legend, who changed the discourse on sexuality forever. To this day, the 90-year-old still succeeds in captivating people with her humour, presence and openness. Her incredible life story alone could fill pages; as the only surviving member of a family wiped out by the Holocaust, she came to the US after taking shelter at a Swiss orphanage. To mark the 90th birthday of this tireless pioneer, filmmaker Ryan White picked up his camera and spoke to her and her friends in an attempt to reconstruct this extraordinary, almost century-old life using a rich array of archive footage.
