American Isabel has found her fulfilment in India: running an orphanage in Calcutta, she devotes all her energy to the orphaned children, as well as her own foster son. With funds running dry, Isabel receives an unexpected letter from entrepreneur Theresa, offering her a generous sum of money. The only condition is a personal presentation – in New York. Isabel reluctantly sets off and arrives in the Big Apple as the wedding preparations for Theresa’s daughter are underway. Theresa’s life could not be more different: she runs a million-dollar media company, owns an estate and leads a perfect family life. As their two worlds collide, Isabel realises that the encounter is anything but random.
