On a bridge in Belgrade, a woman with a freshly broken nose climbs into Gavrilo’s taxi carrying a baby. She suddenly exits the cab and jumps over the bridge’s railings. The suicide attempt becomes an existentialist catalyst for its three witnesses Gavrilo, Anica and Biljana. They are each forced to account for their lives up to that point: Gavrilo feels responsible for the helpless baby, Anica remembers a painful loss and Biljana realises that there is nothing to keep her together with her .fiancé The woman survives the jump and Gavrilo takes care of her. For the first time in his life, the misanthropist experiences the feeling of being important to somebody.
