Pat Pitsenbarger was once one of the most fashionable hairdressers and drag performers in the American small town of Sandusky. Now in a nursing home, his entire life consists of folding napkins, obsessively. Only when his former customer Rita dies, does he snap out of his monotony. He sets off on a crazy trip to his hometown, to give her one last styling. Equipped with a pastel green suit, glitzy finger rings and a cigarette in his mouth, Pat slowly but surely rediscovers his extravagant self. SWAN SONG is the perfect outlet for the outstanding cult actor Udo Kier to play an aging bird of paradise.
