Nine-year-old Jo loves action movies and is dreaming of being a superhero herself. Her greatest wish is to make a film in which she plays the lead role. In her imagination, she is not terminally ill. There comes a time when Jos's older sister can no longer bear to watch the cheerful girl spending all the precious time she has left in bed. As she encourages Jo to believe in her magical powers she also engages the whole village to make Jos's dream come true. This heartwarming drama by Kenyan filmmaker Likarion Wainaina is a product of the German-Kenyan production collective One Fine Day Films, which was founded by ZFF Honorary Award winner Tom Tykwer. A great film about the powers of imagination and unusual ways of saying goodbye.
