Summer 1969: When drilling off the coast of Norway remains unsuccessful, the ambitious oil company employee Jonathan is sent to the port town of Stavanger to end the cooperation. However, due to the poor fishing results and the economic crisis, the inhabitants there are still holding out for an oil find. Also for newly engaged diver Christian the demolition of the rig would mean losing his job. Jonathan finally settles on one last attempt to find a source of black gold...
