It is a beautifully sunny morning in Bucharest when Tudor heads to the local park with his 5-year-old daughter Maria and his 7-year-old son Ilie. Him and his wife, Christina, consider themselves lucky ones: they have good jobs, a nice apartment and, apart from the odd affair, enjoy a happy family life together. Upon arriving at the playground, the two kids immediately begin to play around while Tudor sits on a bench to make a few phone calls. When he turns his attention back to the kids, he is unable to spot his youngest anywhere. Tudor frantically searches the park only to discover that his daughter has disappeared without a trace. A nightmare riddled with feelings of guilt, desperation and powerlessness begins.
