My Old Lady

Mathias is broke. The death of this downtrodden New Yorker’s estranged father seems heaven-sent when he discovers he has inherited a large apartment in Paris. However, Mathias finds, to his great annoyance, that somebody else is already living there: Mathilde, a cultivated old lady who claims to be a contractually agreed life-long resident. Mathias, whose intention it was to liquidate his asset as soon as possible, is powerless. Reluctantly, he must now come to terms with not just Mathilde, but also her sharp-tongued daughter Chloé, who keeps an ever-protective eye on her mother. While discussing his options with an estate agent, Mathias finds out that the old lady was not just a tenant, but also the love of his father’s life for more than 50 years.
