“Gentleman" from Cologne and “Alborosie” from Sicily are two of Europe’s most renowned reggae musicians. They turned their back on Europe years ago and set off in search of a new spiritual home and musical inspiration in Jamaica – and have since met with broad approval in the Caribbean. In JOURNEY TO JAH, the pair takes us on a trip to Jamaica and the very roots of reggae, introducing us to such friends as Luciano and the socially critical female rapper Terry Lynn along the way. Music acts as a link between cultures, facilitating changes in the fabric of Jamaica, a poor, corrupt and politically divided country. Music equals politics and spirituality – but it also perpetuates discrimination and antagonism.
