One part of Navid’s head is like the metropolis Tehran: loud, hectic and unpredictable. The 26-year-old Kurd has been expelled from university because of his political activities, and has since kept his head above water working in a textile factory. The prospect of well-paid work is bleak for Tehran’s younger generation. The only things that keep Navid going are his unemployed flatmates and his girlfriend Setareh. Before he can marry his big love, he must first get his life back on track as quickly as possible. Caught in a maelstrom of love, fear, anger and frustration, the young Iranian gradually loses self-control… Director Reza Dormishian takes the viewer on a journey into the lively yet prospectless world of a generation of young Iranians that yearns for political change.
