Premiere of the five International Film Music Competition entrants’ compositions followed by the Film Music Concert and Award Ceremony. Finalists: Nicolas Alvarez (Japan/ Columbia), Faris Badarni (Germany/ Israel), Wonkyung Lee (South Korea), Nico Maas (Germany), Toby Sherriff (USA/Canada) Jury: Sabine Boss, Günther Fischer, Xavier Koller, Maggie Rodford, Martin Tillman 137 participants from 28 countries created a soundtrack to accompany Run Wrake’s short film THE CON- TROL MASTER (UK 2008). A jury of specialists selected five finalists whose compositions will be premiered by the Zurich Jazz Orchestra and Zürcher Kammerorchester under the baton of André Bellmont. While the jury chooses its overall winner, the audience will be treated to an exclusive concert comprising science fiction soundtrack classics, and enjoy a guest appearance by Martin Tillman.
