Summer on the Swedish coast: Baby boomers Janne and his sister Jackie never really left the hedonistic lifestyle of their youth behind. The opening of Janne’s exclusive nightclub “Avalon” is now just around the corner. In the midst of preparations he is responsible for the accidental death of a young man – the body of which is disposed of with the help of his shifty entourage. One day, the girlfriend of the victim shows up and Janne is put under an emotional pressure neither his supposed friends nor his family can ease. Characterised by intense camera work, AVALON tells of people who on their lifelong party trip have failed to build up relationships and now stand on the verge of emotional nothingness.
