Wim Wenders is one of Europe’s most influential filmmaking personalities. This versatile director, who has also made a name for himself as a photographer, won the critics’ prize at Venice with his debut film DIE ANGST DES TORMANNS BEIM ELFMETER. This was followed by such classics as DER AMERIKANISCHE FREUND and PARIS, TEXAS (Palme d’Or, Cannes 1984). His documentaries BUENA VISTA SOCIAL CLUB, PINA and THE SALT OF THE EARTH went on to become audience favourites. In his ZFF Masters session, Wenders will offer insight into his sources of inspiration and take part in a public Q&A session. Moderator: Christian Jungen (FRAME/NZZ)
