by Woody Allen
Alarmed by his wife's constant allusions to his age, the wealthy pensioner Alfie starts to panic: he quickly divorces his wife Helena to enjoy life at the side of nitwit call girl Charmaine. Helena seeks her salvation at a fortune-teller named Cristal and ends up with widower Jonathan. The couple's daughter, Sally, couldn't care less; she has enough problems of her own. As the assistant of gallery owner Greg, she has to look after herself and her husband Roy, a writer, who after his first success can no longer sell his manuscripts. Frustrated and at war with his mother-in-law, he begins to idolise his new neighbour Dia from a distance – for now.
