William Tell

When the Austrian king (Sir Ben Kingsley) attacks Switzerland, the hunter William Tell (Claes Bang) sets out to protect his homeland and family from foreign tyranny. Nick Hamm's historical epic is a modern adaptation of Friedrich Schiller's classic. The film captivates with breathtaking landscapes, nerve-wracking battle scenes, a modern portrayal of women and a multicultural cast. The contemporary adaptation shows that the Swiss national myth holds lessons for the present, in which freedom is once again being called into question.
