93-year-old Thelma lives alone in Los Angeles. One day, she receives a phone call telling her that her grandson has been arrested and that she needs to transfer 10,000 dollars to get him released. She does so – and soon realises that she has fallen victim to a telephone scam. As the police is not of much help, the sprightly pensioner sets out on her own to catch the fraudster. A brilliant action comedy, in which the 93-year-old June Squibb plays the first leading role of her career. Produced by ZFF founder Karl Spoerri and Viviana Vezzani.
