For 100 years, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has stood up for human rights and freedom in the United States. Since Donald Trump’s move into the White House, their courtroom battles have become increasingly bitter. With the Muslim ban, the ban on transgender people in the military, restrictions on voting rights and inhumane treatment of immigrants, the Trump administration has, in addition to many other things, provoked four internationally significant legal trials and challenged the ACLU lawyers. THE FIGHT portrays the charismatic activists and follows their inspiring fight for basic rights and against state discrimination. An infectiously energetic film as a testimony to humanity.
