Matt works in a bar. Although few find him amusing, he dreams of being a celebrated stand-up comedian. His reserved and successful girlfriend Abbey, on the other hand, wants to start a family. While she plans the wedding with Matt’s mother, Matt sets off, with the help of an agent and his father’s credit card, to try his luck on America’s stages. His set is based on a man desperate to escape the hype of his wedding – and is a surprising hit! Matt begins to enjoy life on the road ever more, but keeps his latest number from Abbey. The closer the wedding gets, however, the greater his sleepwalking problem becomes. His dreams become more and more bizarre – and increasingly dangerous.
