Karl meets the Austrian Nini at the train station in Berlin: it's love at first sight. But the few hours they spend together before she travels back to Vienna end in a mishap in which Karl loses her number. He decides head over heels to move to the Austrian capital to find his dream girl again. The only thing he knows about Nini, is that every year on her birthday at 3 p.m. she eats a piece of cake at the famous Café Sacher. Karl begins to wait for her there – every afternoon. Tine Rogoll's light and airy love film tells a humorous story about the aberrations in the search for great feelings.
