Frank is a charming, but ageing jewellery thief. His greatest pleasure now is a daily visit to the library, where Jennifer, an attractive librarian, is not averse to a good natter. His failing memory, however, makes increasingly hard world of Frank. And so his son deals with it in the same way every loving son of the future will deal with it: He gets his father an assistant – a robot. At first, Frank is decidedly unimpressed, but soon gets used to the machine and even begins to thrive thanks to its presence. When he spies a jewel-encrusted necklace at a party, an idea springs to mind. And his new friend will help him realise it… Set in the near future, ROBOT AND FRANK demonstrates that there is no room for love on any of the world’s hard discs.
