On a whim, headstrong Freddie travels from France to South Korea. She was born in this country 25 years ago but grew up with French adoptive parents. Without a concrete plan, and any knowledge of the Korean language, she follows the impulse to go in search of her biological parents. However, meeting her real father makes Freddie realise that they live in completely different worlds. What started as a vacation turns into a growing attraction for the metropolis and new acquaintances bring surprising twists and turns into Freddie's life. Director Davy Chou succeeds in creating a beautiful drama that, like its main character, oscillates between cultures.
