Simon is still on his surfboard, riding the waves at dawn. On his way home, there’s a terrible car accident. When his parents arrive at the hospital in Le Havre, the boy is long gone and only machines are keeping his brain-dead body alive. At the same time, a woman is waiting in Paris for a vital heart transplant. But how can the doctors find the right words to ask the grieving parents to agree to an organ donation? Persuasion must be weighed against consideration as time for a successful transplant runs out.
