Living in the Japanese-occupied city, Fang tries to make ends meet for herself and her mother. When one day, Blackie, the charming but reckless leader of a guerilla troupe, turns up on her doorstep. He wants Fang to help him smuggle her neighbour, a Chinese poet, out of town and into Mainland China. The operation proves to be a success – and Fang and her ex-boyfriend Gam-wing suddenly become part of the clandestine resistance movement... Set during World War II and inspired by historical facts, talented director Ann Huis’ captivating spy thriller is also an emotional drama about a strong, independent woman who discovers her own will to fight. OUR TIME WILL COME was largely celebrated at the Hong Kong Film Awards in 2018, including awards for Best Picture and Best Director.
