What makes those people happy whose profession it is to make others laugh? This question occupies Benjamin more and more. Day in and day out, this clown travels the spectacular landscape that is the southwest of Brazil in his father’s ‘Circo Esperança’. Money is tight and work is hard, until one day, Benjamin decides to leave the circus. Birth certificate in hand, he sets out searching – for a wife, a permanent home and a ventilator.
