An epidemic is claiming the lives of millions of US citizens. Initially powerless, the government soon manages to curb the outbreak. But it’s too late for those already infected with the virus. One of the last to be contaminated by the disease is 16-year-old Maggie, who will turn into a zombie within a matter of weeks. The state dictates that the transformation takes place in a controlled quarantine environment. What happens next is unknown. Her father, Wade, who refuses to leave her to her unfortunate fate, takes her to the family home where he searches feverishly for an antidote. But the longer it takes, the more obvious the transformation – and the more dangerous his daughter becomes.
