Lynn and Lucy are best friends. They have been for ages. Now in their late twenties, they still maintain a close friendship that is as intense as a young romance. Living in the same place where they grew up as girls, the houses of their respective families sit directly opposite each other. Down-to-earth Lynn, who married her first boyfriend and is the mother of a teenage daughter, initially responds enthusiastically as the fickle Lucy finally has her first child. However, in the face of a recent tragedy in Lucy’s life, the friendship between the two women is soon put to the test. From small town gossip and quiet suspicion grows blatant distrust – and the situation eventually escalates.
